To all the friends of LUCKY PIZZA, it has been a long haul but a fun ride, so it is with a heavy heart that I tell you I can no longer keep the doors open. For so many of us times are difficult. Historically summers were slow for us but this past one was the worst in our history. I tried to hold on till school started but just couldn’t do it.
We’ve had a ton of sports, anniversary and birthday parties over the years and many new babies had their first solid food at LUCKY PIZZA. It was great having generations of families celebrating with us.
I tried giving back to my town that I love and have lived all my life. LUCKY PIZZA sponsored many little league, soccer, swim teams and Eagle Scouts. Dublin High is my alma mater, we donated and contributed to all the sports teams, (cheer leaders too) music and drama departments. We provided training opportunities for the Work Ability program. We donated hundreds of pizzas over the years to Relay for Life cancer fund raiser and Dublin St. Patrick’s Day fun run.
One of the things I’ll miss the most was being able to provide a venue and safe harbor for our kids and their favorite bands on Saturday nights; boy did we have some fun.
This may sound like a eulogy and it sure feels like one but LUCKY PIZZA was more than just a restaurant to me, it was family, friends and community. I will miss it very much.
Thank you all for the wonderful memories.
